About Me:
I was born and raised in Northern California, and I am happy to call the Bay Area my home. I spent my undergraduate years doing research in a developmental biology lab (and playing rugby!) which led me to my graduate studies at UCSF. While in graduate school I studied limb development in embryos, but decided that a life in the lab wasn’t for me. This is how I ended up becoming a hand surgeon ten years later. I have always been fascinated by the complexity and importance of the hand. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than getting a patient back to doing the things they love.
Outside of work I enjoy surfing, skiing, and traveling with my family. Around the house I usually have a classic Volvo project that I am working on.
